WAUSAU, Wis. (WXCO) – Tighter budgets and higher costs have this historic 1935 theatre needing help right now in order to stay alive.
It could be the final curtain call for the Wausau Community Theatre after they announced their financial struggles on social media.
Now, they are asking for your help in donations so that they can keep their space in Schofield.
If they don’t get enough, they will have to consider moving or decreasing the number of shows they put on or put it all on pause.
They say the theater is not struggling to get people involved, as they have plenty of people who want to act, create costumes, build sets and play music. But the budget is getting tighter, and the cost of putting on these productions is not getting any cheaper.
The Wausau Community Theatre has been operating for almost a hundred years and they are asking us to support them by buying tickets to the show ‘Anything Goes’ which runs from May 31st to June 9th.
There are several other ways to support them too:
Make a donation: Every dollar counts and will directly contribute to keeping the theater alive.
Become a sponsor: Partner with the theatre to sponsor productions and events, and receive recognition and exposure for your generosity.
Advertise with us: Promote your business or organization through advertising opportunities in their programs, website, and social media posts.
Volunteer your time: Join their dedicated team of volunteers and contribute your skills and expertise to help them thrive. They need volunteers for building maintenance, grounds maintenance, marketing, social media, house management for performances, fundraising, community connections, grant writing, and more.
