Waukesha County Airport Sees Surge in Private Jets as RNC Begins
WAUKESHA, Wis. (WAUK) — Waukesha County Airport is seeing a surge in private jet traffic as the Republican National Convention (RNC) kicks off in Milwaukee.
Airport officials are expecting a significant increase in aircraft, with bookings for about a dozen more private jets each day during the convention. The airport typically hosts three to four private jets daily.

The increase in traffic is partly due to temporary flight restrictions at Milwaukee Mitchell International and Timmerman airports during the RNC, which runs from July 15-18.
Pilots are advised to stay watch out for Temporary Flight Restrictions and check for updated Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs) to ensure compliance with security measures and avoid potential intercepts.
