Green Bay Public Market breaks ground

GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – What used to be known as the Old Fort Square on North Broadway in Green Bay gets a new identity and a new look. The city held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Green Bay Public Market on Tuesday.

The Public Market will be able to house up to 20 vendors to provide year-round access to fresh produce and other goods. The $18.3 Million project is expected to have a yearly economic impact of $65 Million.

Originally, the plan was to have the Public Market open and ready for visitors during the NFL Draft 2025 coming to Green Bay in April. However, officials with the project now say it will open in the summer of 2025.
