The GBAPS District said in a press release that extending the contract through next school year will provide stability the district will need for the following projects:
The Board of Education will vote on a contract for the 2025/26 school year at the November 25, 2024 meeting. They will begin the process of hiring a new superintendent in the fall of 2025.
The school board began the process of revamping the job description of the Superintendent following the resignation of Dr. Claude Tiller in February.
