OSHKOSH, WI – (WGBW & WISS) – Two people died in a plane crash just two miles south of the EAA grounds.
At about 12:50 pm Monday, July 22, 2024, The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, the NTSB, and numerous other departments responded to a farm field in the Town of Nekimi.
When responders arrived they found a Lancair ES plane fully engulfed in flames, and both occupants were dead.
The names of the deceased and all plan identifiers are being withheld pending notification of the family.
The NTSB confirmed on X that it is investigating the crash outside of Oshkosh.
