GREEN BAY, WI – (WGBW) – 9to5 Wisconsin, an organization that says they’re advocating for working families, has announced a series of candidate forums ahead of the upcoming election. The events, locally featuring the 90th Assembly District forum and a forum for the 30th Senate District, aim to provide a platform for people to engage with candidates on issues affecting working families.
The forums will focus on topics such as paid family and medical leave, affordable childcare, and the future of Wisconsin’s care economy.
Christina Thor, Executive State Director of 9to5 Wisconsin, emphasized the importance of amplifying working families’ voices in political conversations. “These forums will empower our community members to hold candidates accountable and ensure that their needs are prioritized in the legislative agenda,” Thor said.
The organization has two events scheduled in Northeast Wisconsin.
90th Assembly District Candidate Forum: Monday, October 7, from 5:30 to 7 at the Brown County Central Library Downstairs Auditorium. Amaad Rivera-Wagner is confirmed to attend. Jessica Henderson has been invited. The event is co-hosted by Green Bay Asian Allies United and Wisconsin Early Childhood Action Needed.
30th State Senate District Candidate Forum: Wednesday, October 16, from 6 to 7:30 pm at Hinterland Brewery, 1001 Lombardi Access Road in Ashwaubenon. Jamie Wall is confirmed to attend. Jim Rafter has been invited. The event is co-hosted by the Main Street Alliance.
