RACINE, Wis. (WRJN) — The Racine Family YMCA has appointed Tamarra Coleman as its new chief executive officer, the organization announced Wednesday.
Coleman, former director of the Shalom Center in Kenosha, brings nonprofit leadership experience to the role. During her tenure at the Shalom Center, Coleman led the development of a community resource center, enhancing services for underserved populations.
The Racine Family YMCA, established in 1875, serves all of Racine County. Their website says they provide programs aimed at youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The organization operates multiple facilities, including the Family Branch in Mount Pleasant and the Riverside Branch in downtown Racine.
Coleman’s appointment comes after a search process conducted in collaboration with neighboring YMCAs.
