Crawford Vows Impartiality in Run for Wisconsin Supreme Court

Judge Susan Crawford already has a vision for the state’s judicial future. The Dane County Circuit Court Judge vows impartiality as one of two candidates running for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Crawford joins Todd Allbaugh, host of The Todd Allbaugh Show, to discuss her focus on the importance of a fair court that upholds the rights and freedoms of Wisconsinites.

Crawford is facing former Republican Attorney General Brad Schimel in the April 1st race. And she has concerns over what she describes as a political agenda that could be an influence over the state’s highest court. Crawford also points out Schimel’s record, including a failure to test thousands of sexual assault kits along with his opposition to reproductive health care rights for women.

Allbaugh asks about Schimel’s support for individuals convicted of violent crimes. Crawford points out the January 6th insurrectionists along with his record of failing to protect victims of domestic violence. And she contrasts these examples with her own track record. Crawford tells Allbaugh she ensures fairness and justice under the law, while vowing to apply the law impartially if elected.

Crawford also discusses the national significance of the race. And she highlights the involvement of some major political figures along with the organizations supporting Schimel’s campaign. 

“I can assure voters my campaign will continue to expose his extreme positions, particularly his disregard for the rule of law, as evidenced by his failure to follow campaign and judicial codes,” Crawford says. 

As the campaign heats up, Crawford plans to maintain her call for a Wisconsin Supreme Court prioritizing fairness, community safety, and upholding the rights of the state’s citizens.
