GREEN BAY, WI- (WGBW & WISS) – After running for Wisconsin’s 8th Congressional District against now-Congressman Tony Wied (R-De Pere), Dr. Kristin Lyerly’s commitment to community service has only grown. Starting this weekend, Lyerly will use that service mindset to bring “real news and great conversation” to the airwaves. The debut of The Dr. Kristin Lyerly Show on WGBW and WISS is Saturday (April 12, 2025) at 3 pm.
“This little kid who grew up in Kaukauna could never have imagined this,” Lyerly said. “It’s such a huge opportunity that in this time, where health care—where health information is lacking, people are struggling to access health care and solid information. I’m hoping to help them, so that people in northeast Wisconsin can live their best lives.”

This weekend’s debut guest will be Emily Tseffos. Emily ran for election in the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 56.
Despite Lyerly’s background in politics, she promises viewers her show will include everything affecting people across northeast Wisconsin–not just politics.
Station Manager Todd Michaels said, “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Lyerly to the airwaves. Listeners may already recognize her voice—as she’s been a frequent and thoughtful guest on many Civic Media Programs including our own Maino & the Mayor, and she’s even stepped in as a guest host on Up North News with Pat Kreitlow. Dr. Lyerly brings something special to talk radio. She’s genuinely a good listener!”
