GBAPS and Kavarna Coffeehouse partner to spread “A Cup of Kindness”

The Green Bay Area Public School District in partnership with Kavarna Coffeehouse is launching the Cup of Kindness Project, a new initiative celebrating student creativity, community connection, and the power of simple acts of kindness. The project will be highlighted beginning May 15, 2026, at Kavarna Coffeehouse, 143 N. Broadway in downtown Green Bay’s Broadway District. 

Each disposable cup purchased will have a sleeve that was designed by a Green Bay Area Public School District student. The sleeves to be distributed on May 15 were designed by Fort Howard students during a recent family night and by West High School students during library time. Kavarna generously provided the sleeves and materials, helping bring this collaborative project to life.

“We are grateful to Kavarna for partnering with the District to support this project that uplifts our community,” said Director of Engagement Ingrid Parker-Hill. “These small messages of encouragement reflect the compassion, creativity, and sense of community our students bring to Green Bay.”

The plan is to hold “A Cup of Kindness” day each month and include other coffee shops in the Broadway District. The following message will be at displayed near Kavarna’s register to help share the story behind the project:
