Tom Tiffany campaigns with Scott Walker in Green Bay
Protesters criticize Tiffany's record on healthcare.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WGBW) – Congressman and candidate for Wisconsin governor made a campaign stop in Green Bay Monday morning. Former Governor Scott Walker joined Tiffany at the Village Grille in Bellevue.

Tiffany is currently the leading candidate for Wisconsin governor. He told people at the campaign stop the next chapter for Wisconsin can be one of growth, freedom and opportunity, promising to ‘unlock Wisconsin’s full potential.’
A group of protesters gathered outside the campaign stop disagree. They say Tiffany supports reducing state and federal health care access to pay for corporate and wealthy tax breaks.
Garnet DeGrave is the Northeast Organizer for Citizens Action of Wisconsin. DeGrave says she knows firsthand how paying for healthcare in Wisconsin can be a struggle.
“I was priced out of Green Bay because of healthcare costs.”

“I was priced out of Green Bay because of healthcare costs,” DeGrave explained. “I had a slip and fall which led to surgery. That surgery made my wages be garnished so low that I couldn’t afford rent on a one-bedroom apartment. That’s ridiculous. I was working a good office job and still ended up getting garnished to below the cost of my rent.”

Holding signs that say ‘Tiffany supports billionaires,’ demonstrators we talked to say Tiffany prioritizes the wealthy at the expense of working families. Tiffany headed down to Elm Grove after Green Bay for another stop in Elm Grove.
