Southwest High School to hold Service Recognition Day May 20

Green Bay Southwest High School has announced plans to hold Service Recognition Day on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:15 a.m. in the High School Auditorium. This is a celebration to honor those students that have committed to serving our country in a branch of service.

Here are the students who will be highlighted at the event:

United States Naval Academy
Atticus Retzak Krump has been appointed to the United States Naval Academy and departs for his Induction Day on June 25 to Annapolis, Maryland.

Wisconsin Army National Guard
Elijah Russell enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and deploys on August 4 to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Ian Vera enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and deploys on June 30 to Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Ethan Wagner enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and deploys on June 29 to Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

United States Army
Zachary Zold enlisted in the United States Army and deploys on August 24 to Fort Benning, Georgia.

United States Air Force
Kevon Darby enlisted in the United States Air Force and will deploy on a date yet to be confirmed to Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Preston Scholl enlisted in the United States Air Force and is currently waiting on a deployment date and location.
